Description
This is an ancient ramshackle barn still standing in the old Irish Catholic settlement of Corning, Indiana. It is close to being re-claimed by the forest encroaching behind it. Very picturesque with all the not so many years ago newly painted white fencing and bridge in the foreground. All that is left of this once thriving community is a couple of houses and an old empty store on the west side of the road and on the east side standing imposingly at the apex of the hill ( and still important to many for it's history and, but no longer holding Sunday services) is the original St. Patrick's Church along with it's cemetery and the old rectory which is at present enjoying a gradual restoration.
